Experienced Leadership.
Fiscal Responsibility.
A Vision for the Future.
Magistrate Alan Whaley is running for Pendleton County Clerk with a clear and focused mission: reduce waste, improve efficiency, and modernize the Clerk’s Office to better serve the people of Pendleton County.
As a strong fiscal conservative, Alan believes Pendleton County taxpayers deserve a Clerk who works as hard as they do. That means cutting unnecessary spending, investing strategically in updated technology, and ensuring services are easier and faster to access. His commitment is straightforward — to deliver a Clerk’s office that is efficient, accountable, transparent, and prepared for the future.
After hearing concerns from citizens about the need for fresh leadership and new perspectives, Alan made the decision to step forward and offer experienced, practical leadership rooted in common sense and responsibility.
Proven Leadership & Public Service
Alan and his wife, Lora (Johnson) Whaley, raised their three children in the Gardnersville community, where they remain active and engaged. Pendleton County is not just where Alan serves — it is home.
For 35 years, Alan built a career in the healthcare industry, bringing professionalism, discipline, and leadership to his field. Nearly two decades ago, he expanded his service to the public by joining the Pendleton County Fiscal Court as Magistrate for District 1. In that role, he has consistently supported responsible budgeting, careful oversight of taxpayer dollars, and practical solutions to county challenges.
Education, Faith & Community Commitment
Alan holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership in Medical Imaging from Morehead State University. He also served for many years as a deacon at Grassy Creek Christian Church, reflecting his deep commitment to faith and service.
A proud husband, father, and grandfather, Alan treasures time with his grandchildren and believes strong families are the foundation of a strong community. His lifelong dedication to Pendleton County is rooted in faith, family, and service.
A Clerk’s Office Built for the Future
Alan Whaley is prepared to bring experienced leadership, fiscal responsibility, and forward-thinking modernization to the Pendleton County Clerk’s Office — ensuring it operates efficiently, embraces technology, and delivers the high-quality service residents deserve.
